Meet Julien & Julien, the duo behind Babines. With extensive experience in hospitality, including cheffing, front-of-house, and managing some of Melbourne, London, and France’s most celebrated bars, they bring a wealth of expertise and passion to every detail of Babines. Their friendship began in a London bar, and today, they share a vision for creating a vibrant, welcoming space in Melbourne.
Babines, which means “lips” in French, is a playful nod to the joy of delicious food and drinks. The name also reflects the two Juliens behind the bar: same name, same heritage, and the same passion for hospitality. At Babines, guests can enjoy a curated selection of French-inspired food, cocktails and wines in a lively, late-night setting, making it the perfect spot for dinner.
